Sara the 2 year old

Sara turned two on February 9! Can you believe it? We had a birthday party for her the weekend before but she had a pretty fun day on her birthday too. She went to Gymboree and her friends (or at least the moms) sang happy birthday to her and we went to Pizza King Station with Nana and Papa for supper. Sounds like a pretty good 2nd birthday to me!

Sara's two year well-visit went great! She didn't have to get any shots. :) Sara weighed in at 27 lbs 4 oz (59%), was 35 inches long (77%) and has a head size of 19 1/2 (92%). She seems to be leveling off a little. She gained less than 2 lbs and grew 5/8 of an inch in 6 months. Her head size stayed the same... big. :)

Some things Sara is into at two years old:
Bubble baths!
Brushing her teeth
Watching Caillou on mommy and daddy's bed
Yo Gabba Gabba (Foofa is her favorite)
Gymboree (especially the bumpy road) -- see picture with this post
Dressing up and being pretty
Playing with her dolls
Princesses
Following Will around and doing what he does
Talking in complete sentences and enunciating many words surprisingly well
Dramatically crying for daddy when things don't go her way or she is told no... practicing for her teenage years I think.

Top Ten Weekend

This past weekend has been one of the busiest, yet most fun weekends that we can remember! We went into the weekend having had two snow/ice/daddy days during the week!! So fun! Friday Luke was born and we were able to visit him in the hospital. Saturday Will had a basketball game in the morning, we celebrated Sara's 2nd birthday with our family in the afternoon and in the evening we went to the Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park with our Keefer family to enjoy the indoor waterpark for a little "stay-cation"!! Pictures of our adventures are in the photo album.

Welcome, baby Luke!!

We are the proud uncle, aunt and cousins of Luke William McComas!! Kyle and Amy welcomed their precious little guy on Friday, Feb 4. Will and Sara are so excited to have another cousin. I think they are a little surprised that he isn't as active as their other cousins are but it won't be too long until he can play with them. Congratulations to Uncle Kyle and Aunt Amy!

January

Although we have been keeping busy this past month, I don't have as many pictures as usual to show for it. A few highlights from January include a trip to the Children's Museum with Nana and Papa, Will's first bowling experience with Nana, Papa and Nate, Grandpa Keefer's 60th birthday party and Will's first basketball game.

Will is one of the smaller, less-skilled players on his team. At his first game when he got a chance to bring the ball up the court he took a shot at the basket and missed. The other teams coach gave him the ball to try again and he missed again. Then that coach picked Will up so he could dunk it in. He made that basket and everyone clapped for him. Who knew basketball games could be so emotional!??! I'm so proud of our little hoops star! He never gave up the whole game. Yea, Will!!!
