Family Truckster

We did it! We bought a mini-van! This news is about 1 month old, but it is still news I guess. We are over the "I am too young/hip/cool/whatever to drive a mini-van" thing because lets face it, we're not. ;-) We are in our 30's (can that be right?) have 2 kids and LOVE OUR VAN. We are convinced that automatic sliding doors are the greatest invention for families since the baby swing and bouncy seat. Stop by for a ride sometime, we can actually fit you in our vehicle now.

Early July

Early July has been busy for us! We have been to Hobart for the 4th of July, Fort Wayne for the Three Rivers Festival and Will is potty training. He is doing really good, too! In less than a month Will is going to have his 3rd birthday and Sara will be 6 months old. Where has the time gone? Pictures from early July are in the photo album.

5 months old

Sara has been spending her time playing with her big brother and she also loves her exersaucer. As soon as we clear some toys away we'll get her jumperoo going too. She is sure to enjoy it because she loves anything that involves standing up. Happy 5 month birthday, Sara!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July in Hobart, IN. It was a mostly cool and rainy weekend, but it was fun to hang out with Nate's family and introduce Sara to everyone. We also made a stop by Lake Michigan on the way home. Unfortunately we didn't take a lot of pictures, but I'll add what we do have to the photo album in the near future.

Day Out with Thomas

This past Saturday we traveled to Connersville, IN to meet Thomas the train. Will had a special day with mommy and daddy all to himself. Thanks to Nana and Papa for watching Sara! Will had a great time and picked up a few fun souvenirs. Check out the photo album for pictures of our Day Out with Thomas!

Sara gets cereal

Will didn't start eating baby cereal until he was 5 months old, but in the words of our pediatrician, "sometimes the bigger babies like to start earlier". Given that Sara was in the 95th percentile for height and 75th for weight at her recent appointment, I guess that means she would enjoy a little something extra. :-) She must have been ready because she didn't make any funny faces or anything for her first bites, she just opened her mouth wide for another. She has had rice and oatmeal so far. In a few weeks she'll be adding yellow veggies. Yum.

Happy Father's Day!

We returned from our vacation just in time for Father's Day! Nate and I have wonderful dads and Nate is continuing the tradition. Will and Sara are very lucky to have such a great daddy. Happy (belated) Father's Day!
