This year included a big birthday surprise... a new niece! Katherine Marie Keefer was born at 5:27 pm on my birthday, December 26!!! She weighed 7 lbs, 15 oz and was 21 inches long. She is cute as a button and Will really likes her, which is hopefully a good sign for things to come. Welcome to the family, baby Katie! Pictures are in the photo album.
We had a wonderful Christmas week and have really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. We are glad to be back home and we still have a few days to enjoy with daddy before he heads back to work next week. Merry Christmas everyone!

Better late than never... we had a great Thanksgiving this year! Nate was off of work for the whole week so we were able to do some fun things with Will before we left for our Thanksgiving travels. We went to Bouncertown, Will took daddy to his toddler class at the library, and we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A (Will's favorite, because of the play equipment, not the food). On Wednesday we headed to Hobart for the Abba family Thanksgiving and then went to Fort Wayne and back home by Saturday so we could see my high school, Bishop Dwenger, and Nate's high school, Center Grove, both play in the Indiana State High School Football finals at Lucas Oil Stadium. The BD game was Will's first football game! He really loved it and did a good job staying in his seat. Too bad he didn't get to see the Center Grove game, it would have been more exciting. :-)
Every fall the ladies of Nate's family visit for a weekend of Christmas shopping and good times. This year the shopping weekend was the same weekend as Nate's Grandpa's 80th birthday so some of his Aunts and Uncles surprised Grandpa by spending the weekend here. Grandma and Grandpa Abba were really surprised and everyone had a great time! Pictures are in the photo album.
Will has been sleeping in his new room for a few weeks now. He seems to love it and he it seems like he forgot all about his little baby room. Thanks to daddy, Nana and Papa for painting it!
Will is really excited for Halloween this year. Is is so fun that he enjoys it now. He loves his Tigger outfit and really loves candy. :-) There are pictures in the album of our Halloween activities this week.
We have started a pool for baby #2! Please enter a guess. My brother Bob won when we did a pool for Will, who will win this time? To be fair, I should say that if I have another c-section it will be scheduled 1-1.5 weeks before my due date (Feb. 19), but that doesn't necessarily mean anything... Good luck!
Will has been celebrating Halloween early by attending as many zoo Halloween events as possible. Last Thursday we went to the Zoo Boo at the Indianapolis Zoo and last Saturday he and Nate spent some quality time together at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo Great Zoo Halloween. This past weekend we went on our annual family trip to the pumpkin patch. This year was the first year that Will really picked out his own pumpkin and he had a great time! The photo album also includes a few other pictures from late September and October.
Our nephew/cousin Ben cousin spent about 6 days with us last week. We had a great time! Will loved the company, but I'm not sure he liked sharing the attention. Hopefully that isn't a bad sign for baby #2 in February. Pictures are in the photo album.
Will is going to be a big brother in February! We had an ultrasound today that revealed Will's little brother or sister is just like Will! We got to see our newest family member laying on his/her tummy with his/her feet tucked under (the head is on the right, body in the middle and legs tucked under on the left). It reminds us of another little baby we know.
September 6-13 we took a trip to Georgia to visit my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin and then went on to Disney World for a few days. My parents went with us and we all had a great time. We even had a chance to go to Mickey's Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. It was too hot for Will to wear his costume much but we were able to get a few pictures of him wearing it. I have added an album of pictures from the past few weeks which includes a birthday party for Will's friend Mason, guys night out, a trip to the zoo and random pictures of Will doing his thing. Enjoy!
Will is a big fan of fire trucks right now and as luck would have it a fire truck and some firefighters came to Gymboree for a demonstration, and some ice cream! Will had a great time and got to give a "fire guy" a five. This Saturday morning we went on a tour of the new home of the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium. Raise your hand if you can't believe Will is 2. Nate and I are raising our hands for sure. We can't believe how fast the past year has gone and how big our little boy is getting! Will has been celebrating his birthday for the past few days and has a great time with family and friends and playing with his new toys. Left: last year. Right: this year. 
Since we posted last Will has taken parent-tot swim lessons at the Greenwood Community Pool, gone to the Three Rivers Festival and Children's Zoo in Fort Wayne and had a fun evening at the Johnson County Fair with Nana and Papa. Pictures are in the photo album.
Over the July 4th weekend we traveled to Hobart, IN for a 60th wedding anniversary celebration for Nate's Grandma and Grandpa Abba. We had a great time hanging out with family and Will especially enjoyed meeting all of similar aged 2nd cousins. Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Will has been having a fun summer so far. We had our first garage sale, we have been spending a lot of time outside, daddy did some landscaping in the backyard and cousin Ben came to visit!
Memorial Day weekend we went camping with my parents at Pokagon State Park. This was Will's 1st camping trip. He had a great time! Will also had his 1st boat ride thanks to the Geise family. They took us on a trip around Lake James. When we got back home we had a cookout with Nate's family on our new patio. What a great weekend! New pictures from May are in the photo album.
My brother Bob's job brought him to Germany recently, and Bob's trip to Germany brought our nephew Ben a fun pair of pajamas! 
Joe and Stephanie just bought a house in Fort Wayne. We are so glad to have them back from Dallas! Here are a few pictures of them at their new house. 
May 17-18 we traveled to Cincinnati to go to my cousin Sarah's graduation party at Xavier University. Congratulations, Sarah! We also went to a Red's game and to the Newport Aquarium. We had a great time! I will post more pictures in the photo album as soon as I finish collecting them from everyone's cameras. :-)
This past weekend Will went to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo with Daddy and Grandpa, his Great Great Uncle Carl's 100th birthday party, a wedding and it was Mother's Day! We were busy.
Will got a Jr. Varsity today. He did great after the lady promised him a sucker. He looks like such a big kid now!
My cousin Michael Keefer had a busy day today. He finished his finals for the semester this afternoon but started off the day running in the Indianapolis 500 Festival Mini Marathon! He finished in 1:31:46. Nice job, Michael!
Will has been to the park on our street every day it has been warm enough the past few weeks. The swing and the slide are his favorites. He can go down the slide all by himself!
Will was able to play with some of his Christmas presents this weekend. The weather was sunny and warm so we put his slide from Nana and Papa in the backyard and Nate assembled his tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa. Thanks for the great gifts!
Nate had Friday off from work this week so we took Will to the Children's Museum! He loves it there and had a great time. On Saturday we went to storytime with Winnie the Pooh at the Indianapolis Zoo. In other news... Kyle moved into his new house this week. Congratulations, Kyle!!!
We had a wonderful Easter weekend with our family. It actually snowed on Easter this year... did it snow on Christmas? The Easter bunny followed Will everywhere he went and gave him lots of goodies. Check our photo album for pictures from Easter weekend.

We had a great time during our trip to Disney World the first week of February! Will had a blast going on all of the boats, cars, and trains as well as meeting some of the characters he watches on TV. The highs were always in the low 80's and it never rained on us - couldn't have been better! We hit all 4 parks and also had a fun day at the Typhoon Lagoon water park. Will's favorites were the Carousel, Small World, Nemo, the boat rides at Mexico, Norway and the Land, and the Playhouse Disney live on stage show. The only problem we had was Chrissy getting really sick on our last day at the parks and she had to stay in the hotel all day :( Minus that, it was a great vacation. Well if you're reading this, then that means you've made the move from the old site to our new one. We decided to get rid of our old domain name and move to the blogspot site. I've moved all of our old posts over and am in the process of moving all of the pictures. A lot has happened since the last post on Will's birthday. Everything is going well. Will is growing in many ways (growing up, growing smarter, growing in wanting to do his own thing - when he wants). We had a great Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas time and are looking forward to finding what 2008 will bring to us. You can find the new photo album link on the right side of the page. We are still sorting through all of the Christmas pictures and will be adding the pictures from the past few years shortly. Happy new year and best wishes to everyone for 2008!
