Disney World

We’re already working on our 2nd year of marriage! This year has flown by. It was an exciting year together making many trips and memories along the way. Thanks to everyone who made our year special!

For our 1 year anniversary we went to Disney World for a few days and had a great time. We were able to be at the halloween party in the Magic Kingdom and trick-or-treat our way around the park. We wrapped up our trip on our actual anniversary with a great meal in the Coral Reef restaurant with the fish of the Living Seas in Epcot. We wore ourselves out, but that’s the only way to truly enjoy a Disney vacation!

St. Louis Cardinals

This past weekend we went to St. Louis for 2 nights. The first night we saw the Cards beat the Braves 11-3. The next day we toured all of the downtown area including a ride on a river boat and a visit to the courthouse where the Dred Scott case was tried. If you like pictures of an arch, then this update is for you!

Busy July

A busy July has just wrapped up. Our home laptop’s hard drive quit on us so we’re in the process of getting a new one (under warranty). Nate is working in Ft. Wayne every Monday thru Thursday for the next couple months on the DD(X) program. New pictures added include the Indy Challenge (congrats Doug!), our new Pacifica!, Nate’s Mom’s birthday, our trip to the horse track, and moving day at Joe and Steph’s new house.

Nate's Birthday / Camping

Summertime camping. Our new tent was perfect for us. With 3 “rooms” it says it sleeps 9. Plenty of room left over after setting up the air mattress. This camping trip included: Chrissy’s parents; Bob and Janelle; Tom, Diane, Michael, and Mary; Joe, Cindy, and Molly. Plus it was Nate’s first camping experience and he survived! Two days earlier Nate turned 27. Check out the cool pictures of the cake with a Harbour Town theme.

Hilton Head Island

Our trip to Hilton Head Island was a huge success! We had a wonderful week with the Keefer family (12 of us) at the house, on the beach, in the pool, and on the island. The rental house was a huge hit and our own pool was great to have after catching some sun on the beach. Nate got to play Shipyard with Joe and also played Harbour Town. Tom took the miniature golf championship. It was a great trip and we can’t wait to do it again sometime.

Colorado

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a trip to Colorado to visit our friends Jenna and Carl. We had a wonderful time sightseeing, playing games, and being entertained by their almost 2 year old daughter, Sophie. Rocky Mountain National Park was one of the highlights of the trip. A lake about halfway up into the mountains offered many awesome views. Then we drove up into the tundra where snow was packed many feet high along the sides of the road. And while at the top, it started snowing. There was about a 30 degree difference at the top of the mountains and back in Longmont where Jenna and Carl live. We also were able to visit Boulder, which contains many shops, as well as the University of Colorado. Thanks for a great weekend Jenna, Carl, and Sophie!

Cincinnati Trip

Well we reached the 6 month mark of being married! To celebrate we took an overnight trip to Cincinnati. First we stopped over at Xavier to see Chrissy’s cousin Sarah. After that was a trip to the Newport Aquarium. After some shopping we went to eat at the South Beach Grill on the Ohio River with a great view of downtown Cincy. The next day we saw the Reds beat the Astros 6-5, including a 498 foot homer by Wily Mo. We put a few of our pictures on the pictures page as well as one showing our tulips and new glider.
